Santa Clara Neighborhoods

Santa Clara's neighborhoods split along US-101: the older city to the south grew outward from the Old Quad and the Santa Clara University/Mission area and expanded rapidly after 1950 (population rose from about 11,700 in 1950 to about 58,900 in 1960), while the north side holds newer planned communities such as Rivermark near Levi's Stadium and California's Great America. Neighborhood names here follow the City's 2022 redistricting neighborhood maps, city park and specific-plan names, and the General Plan's historic resource inventory.
